What's inside a cell?

Task Description: For this week Inquiry we have been learning about cells, Genomes, DNA, Blood cells and other things that's close with cells. So we had to find out what's inside a plant cells, animals cells and human cells, the things that is inside a cell is first a Nucleus, Ribosomes, Mitochondrion, Golgi apparatus also Golgi body.

Body cells-nerve cells

Task Description: For this week assignment Room 2 has been working on finding things about Nerve cells and also about Nervous Systems.  The thing that I found about is that the Nervous system is on the central part of the human body that sends messages to each different part of the body, I also found out that the Nerve cell is the Nervous system  special cell.     

Body Cells-blood

Task Description: For this week assignment room has been working on finding out what is in blood and in Body Cells, we also had to find out what is blood made from which is blood cells, white blood cells and Plasma.  How there isn't red colored blood that there is also different color blood and not only red. 

The Fragile Web Of Life.

Task Description: For this week Inquiry we did a assignment called the Fragile of life which we had to watch a video of how life began and the we had to pick up some ideas from the video and put in the slide.  Then there was this one slide where we had to write what amazes us and what wonder or questions do we have about life. 

Vegetable Gardens.

Task Description: For this week math assignment we were looking at Vegetable Gardens
but the thing we were really working on was the area of the shapes also the high, length and base of the shape.   

The Royal Family.

On the 26th of July a very cool dance group came to our school to perform for us their dance routine for Nationals which was really enjoyable and amusing.  The first thing that the Royal Family did was introducing themselves then Shea talked to us about the girls and saying "In 7 days these girls would be flying up to America to perform for the Nationals." She also told us to "Cheer and clap for them." Then after all that talk the group finally did their dance routine which was remarkable, during the middle bit of the dance Shea the manager gave us some time to ask some questions.  After the questions it was time for the next dance routine part 2 which was amazing and then after the dance it was the end of everything.  Shea also told us that she isn't the one that shows them the dance she said that Parris is the one who trains them everything and Shea just watches and that the girl are the ones that teach her the dance.  

Shaping Up.

Task Description: For this week assignment we did this follow up called "Shaping up." So we had to figure out the perimeter and area for 3 shapes we draw on our paper with 4 sides.  Then after all that we would add the perimeter and get our answer.

Scratch Animation.

Task Description:This Is my scratch animation of I Like Your Latitude and also about the 7 continents in the world.   My first continent I'll be taking you is Australia the all the other 3 I haven't finished my animation but this is what I have done for use to watch.   

Fish Tank.

Task Description: This week we were working on a task called Fish Tank, we had to figure out how many fish did Mr Vogt put inside the tank and how many eels were inside the tank.  The way that we used to figure out our work was ratio until we got our answer which was 9 eels in the tank and 30 fish given to the eels.

I Like Your Latitude.

On Monday the 29th of April, today is the start of  term 2 for 2019.  The whole of Pt England School had a school Immersion Assembly we had this theme called  " I Like Your Latitude. " Mr Burt was talking to us about what Latitude means. It took a while until he had finished, but when he finished we had moved on to watching each teachers from each teams making a movie and  a live performance  about what the team is going to  work about and talk about.  After watching team 1, 2 and 3's movie, my favourite one was watching team 4's movie. 

Team 4's  movie was really funny, the four teachers were called to go to Pak'n Save for no reason, but then one of the teacher's phone was ringing from the Mr Goodwin which was the one who said to go all the way to Pak'n Save, after the call the teachers had to find their way from Pak'n Save to Pt England School.  They couldn't use their phones for google maps they had to use a map and compass for help. They got the staff and went of finding their way.  The funny part about this was one of the teachers Mrs Sio went off trying her way of getting there all the teachers thought that she would get them back to school cause really looked like she would.  But instead of getting them to school she got them to follow her all way to Great Tongs takeaway and buying her a bag of chicken, so that Mrs Sio could eat all of the other teacher's was really mad at Mrs Sio. 

When they had finally got to school they were really happy and glad they had finally made, but they were also mad at Mr Goodwin so the teachers burst into the class rooms they were gonna have meeting but the 4 teachers were just mad at him so they were yelling at Mr Goodwin.  Miss West yelled at Mr Goodwin saying " Why don't you try finding your way back home, without using your phone." so she took his phone and they all walked away slamming the door and leaving Mr Goodwin having to do a meeting by himself.  

Every first day of the term Pt England School will have an Immersion Assembly to see what other teams will be doing for the term and Inquiry, also to find out what the theme is for the whole of term 2.
